You can read traps-arent.gay without creating an account or giving the site your name, email address, postal address, or payment information.
There are no reader accounts, public comments, or reader uploads.
Analytics
The site has Plausible Analytics instrumentation present in the codebase but disabled by default. Plausible is only enabled on the production branch when the operator explicitly sets ENABLE_PLAUSIBLE=1 in the Cloudflare Pages environment and the Plausible property is registered. As of this writing, the Plausible property traps-arent.gay is not registered and no site-configured reader-event analytics are actively collecting.
The production host (Cloudflare) provides aggregate request, pageview, performance, and security telemetry through Cloudflare Web Analytics. That hosting-layer telemetry is separate from the site’s local reading-history features and does not receive your saved-story list or saved reading position from the site.
The reader interface also uses local browser storage for reading conveniences and short-lived campaign attribution. That information is described below.
When Plausible is enabled, the following cookieless events are collected: story_open, story_25, story_50, story_75, story_complete (scroll proxy), next_story_click (continuation clicks), and outbound_click (affiliate/ad link clicks). No browser-local favorites, reading history, marginalia anchors, heat preferences, or adult taxonomy are forwarded as user-profile data. The public Resources section is isolated from all site-configured analytics and adult monetization.
What stays in your browser
The reader experience uses browser storage for conveniences such as:
- reading position;
- recently opened stories;
- saved stories; and
- short-lived campaign attribution.
Reading history, saved stories, and reading position stay in your browser rather than being uploaded as a reader profile.
Campaign attribution may be stored locally for up to seven days from the original campaign visit. It contains campaign-related identifiers and timestamps, not a site-created reader identity.
You can clear this information through your browser settings.
Cookies and third parties
The site itself does not use a reader account cookie or an age-verification cookie.
Adult pages may include third-party advertising, affiliate links, or links to outside services. Those third parties may receive ordinary request information, set cookies, or use other technologies under their own privacy policies.
The public Resources section is kept separate from adult advertising and the adult reader-retention/event-measurement layer. Hosting-layer Cloudflare telemetry may still apply to requests for those pages.
Newsletter
There is no live newsletter signup at the moment, so the site is not currently collecting reader email addresses for a mailing list.
If that changes, this policy and the newsletter page will be updated to identify the provider and how subscription and unsubscribe work.
What I do not do
- I do not operate reader accounts.
- I do not sell a site-created reader profile or your local reading history.
- I do not upload your saved-story list or reading position into analytics.
- I do not use Google Analytics or Facebook Pixel.
- I do not use local reading history for cross-site ad retargeting.
- I do not fingerprint your device as a site feature.
Privacy requests
If applicable law gives you a right to access, correct, delete, or otherwise make a request about personal information handled by the site, contact legal@traps-arent.gay.
Information stored only in your own browser can be removed directly through your browser settings.
Adult fiction and Resources
The adult-fiction archive is intended for adults 18+.
Resources is a separate public, SFW section and does not inherit the adult site’s advertising or reader-retention interface.
